Sea World

Today we had a great time visiting Sea World. Kevin and I got to pet a dolphin, which was awesome. And we went to see Shamu the killer whale perform. He was amazing! We also caught their shows with a beluga whale, and a cute show with two sea lions, an otter, and a walrus.Kevin got his first taste of cotton candy. As you can tell he really enjoyed it.

With the Clydesdale horses. This one was named Bud.

Kevin made some friends who enjoyed playing chase with him.

Kevin and I watching the dolphins swim by, while Steve was getting some fish so we could feed them.

Trail of Lights

We had a great time going to the Trail of Lights with Kim, Eric, Daniel and Phillip. It was a chilling and windy evening (35 degrees), so we were all bundled up.

Christmas with Gram Horridge and the Woods'

On Christmas afternoon we went to my mom's and spent time with the Wood family. Again you will notice that Kevin was carrying around his broom. He is obsessed with floor cleaning items (toy vacuums, brooms) I guess it is because he is always seeing me clean up under his highchair.

Sea World

Today we went to Sea World. You got to pet a dolphin. You saw a killer whale, dolphins, a beluga whale, seals, an otter, a walrus, sharks, penguins, puffins and alot of fish. It was a lot of fun. You didn't seem to enjoy watching the shows much but did enjoy going around and seeing everything.

Christmas with the Mitschke's

We had a great time hanging out with the Mitschke's. Over a few days we were able to see Aunt Lousie and Uncle Bert, Aunt June and Uncle Dennis and Kim, Eric, Daniel and Phillip were in town for most of the week. It was great being able to see the family and Kevin had a great time playing with his cousins.Kevin sitting with Uncle Eric. He loved that his grandparents found him a broom set, as you can see he has the broom in hand.

Happy Holidays!

We hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas. We have been really busy here so I haven't had time to post. Our Christmas celebrations began with our friends Jon and Tara's Christmas/House warming party. They have two awesome kids, Ainsley and Keegan. Kevin had a great time playing with Keegan and he loved their toy broom. He carried it around everywhere. Here are some cute photos for you to enjoy.

I loved how today you sat on my lap for about 5 minutes as we read a book. I love it when I get sweet, calm, one on one time with you.

13 months and 1 day

Today you have been very sweet (huggy, cuddles) and also very whinny. We are working on getting you to understand the word "No". You love to play with Daddy's keyboard, the trash can and the toilets. :-) All No No's.
At breakfast when I was asking if you wanted any pineapple you actually repeated Pin aple. I have tried the rest of the day to get you to repeat it. Nope. :-)

Elf

!! WOW !!

Hi, So I have a lot of great updates today. Kevin had his 1 year check up last week and he is doing great. He now weighs 24lbs 10 oz (75%), he is 30 inches tall (50%), and his head is getting bigger he is now sitting at the 75%.

And we can certainly see how his head is getting bigger, it's because he is a genius, ok so I may be partial but let me tell you why I think he is a genius.

He is now saying his first two words "OK" and "ungry" meaning hungry. Our pediatrician was really suprised at his choice of words, I guess most kids mainly say Momma or Dada. When he is hungry he not only repeats "ungry" but I have told him to go to his highchair if he is hungry. So now he goes to his highchair and tries to climb in while chanting "UNGRY".

On Sunday, Steve was hanging our Christmas lights and I asked Kevin if he wanted to go help Daddy. He said "OK" I told him he needed to put on his socks. So he walked over to me, sat in my lap and popped a foot up in the air. So I could put a sock on it.

Yesterday I asked him if he wanted to go for a walk, he said "Ok" and went to his stroller and tried crawling in. In the afternoon I asked him if he wanted to play or nap. He said "Ap" so I took that as a nap. I put him down and he went immediately to sleep. Last night after his bath I told him it was time to go to bed. So he walked into his room and stood at the side of his crib.

And lastly, this morning, I asked him if he wanted a nap and he said "OK", walked into his room and again just stood at the side of his crib.

Is my child a genius or what?!

Seeing him growing each day is absolutely amazing. I had no clue how wonderful being a parent would be.
