The Little Things

Kevin has been incredibly cute today, he was very content while I tried on jeans, and voted today. But the cutest thing was this afternoon. We have this tupperware container that holds little crackers or cookies. And when Kevin wants one, he grabs the container and hands it to you. Well today when he handed it to me, I asked him to say please (we are trying to work on him talking), and he just looked at me, so again I said "can you say please?" and he stuck his lower lip out in a bit of a pout, and just looked at me and pointed/poked at the container. You probably had to be here to understand just how cute it was. But it was cute, and it was his first time pointing at something he wants.

11 Wonderful Months!

Kevin officially turns 11 months old today. Our little man is growing so quickly! He is now walking with no problems and can even run a little bit. He loves it when I "chase" him around the living room and start tickling him. He is also getting quick at trying to get out of the baby gates, you really have to slide in and out to prevent him from escaping. And if he does escape he heads straight for the cat's food. He also enjoys standing at the gate into the kitchen and shaking it. It sounds alot like an inmate trying to get out of jail. So we joke about who is in jail, him or us?

He is also getting really vocal now. He just starts making the silliest sounds, and even laughs at himself sometimes. There have also been a few times that after we say something he mimics it, and he gets so close that we almost think he is talking. Like yesterday I asked him if he was hungry and he looked at me and said something like "ungry", he wouldn't repeat it, so I'm sure he wasn't "talking" just making sounds. But who knows maybe his first word will come any day now.

Pumpkin Patch

We took Kevin to a pumpkin patch today and got some really great photos. He had a lot of fun walking and crawling around the pumpkins. He also had a fondness of gourds (probably because he could fit them in his mouth). He also met another little boy almost his age. His family was really sweet and let Kevin "push" their wagon. You can find some of the photos in the slideshow but all of them are in Steve's Flickr account.
