Happy 14 Months!

Kevin turned 14 months old today! I was shocked when I looked at him and realized just how big he has gotten. He is growing too fast! I did catch a few pictures of him playing with Bailey (the cat). They both really like chasing the laser pointer :-).

This is a picture of me chasing Kevin around the house. He loves this game.

Kevin and Bailey staring at the red laser pointer.

Please excuse the crumb stuck on his cheek. :-)

History!

History was made today, and you slept through it. :-)
Barack Obama was elected President. He is the first African American ever elected. It is a proud day. There is so much discrimination still around today. It is wonderful to see everyone unite, regardless of race, ethnicity, gender, we all agree it is time for change. I am so very proud that you are born into such a wonderful, open minded and free country.
I had planned on watching the inauguration wit you, but you were so tired, I just had to let you sleep.

Kevin and Bailey

Hey everyone. I wanted you to know that we have named the kitty Bailey. It seemed to be the perfect fit with her green eyes and sweet demeanor. She and Kevin are getting along wonderfully! She is the perfect kitty for our family. Here are a few pictures I took of her.

Our new kitty.

Today we adopted a new kitty. We found a sweet cat who really liked playing with you. By that I mean she let you pull her fur, her tail and you flailed your arms around hitting her and she never flinched. She just purred. We named her Bailey. She is your second kitty. But she will be the one who I hope you will have fond memories of as you grow older. Our first cat, Kit passed away a month before you turned 1. So you will not remember him, but will see photos of him. He really liked you, but wasn't too sure about this new little person in our lives.

Chuck E Cheese's, Where a kid can be a kid!

Today was Kevin's first trip to Chuck E Cheese and he really had a lot of fun. At first he wasn't sure about things and just clung to my leg, but after eating some pizza he got brave and walked around. He really had fun playing with some of the games and especially sliding down the slide. He also liked to see if he could run into the Kitchen when I wasn't looking.

It has really changed since I was a kid but it is still really nice. There is still an animated Chuck E Cheese which Kevin liked to watch. But there isn't an animated band anymore. The bounce area/ball pit is no longer there, but they do have some really cool slides and some of the rides even take your picture.
The "rides" such as the carousel or moving car, horse etc Kevin didn't enjoy, he liked more of the knocking the ducks over or whacking a gopher. He liked to climb up the Skee Ball ramp, but didn't understand the concept of throwing the balls into the target. He more liked to carry them around, along with the basketballs.

I will say that I was really impressed with the prices. Lora and I split a pizza combo and I got some coupons for 10 cent tokens. Each game only costs 1 token, so your tokes really go far. We were there for 3 hours and I spent less than $10.

We will definitely go back, Kevin had fun, and I liked that he could run around and the staff were kid friendly. It is also nice that it is right up the street. Here are some pictures for you to enjoy!
