9 months today

It is crazy to think that 9 months ago today I was in labor, Kevin was 8 lbs then and he is 23 lbs 7 oz today. He has also grown 9 inches making him 28 1/2 inches tall. For his weight he is in the 85% and 65% on his height. His head is also measuring 70%, so we are on top of all the charts.

He is now very confident cruising along the furniture and he likes to walk behind his walking toys. He is getting brave and will let go of something and stand on his own for a few seconds, then he face plants onto the floor. He thinks it is all funny. He is still a very happy baby and loves to giggle and laugh. He has also found his "voice" and likes to raise it, not like he is yelling, just that he is singing really loudly and off cue. He really likes it when you join him in his "singing".

His eyes are still blue around the outside and brown around the pupil and the pediatrician said the closer we get to 1 year the better the chances they will stay that way. She says they can still change later in life, but that doesn't happen too often. The cool thing about his eyes is that they seem to change colors with what shirt he is wearing. If he is wearing green they look green, Blue shirt makes his eyes very blue, and a brown/black shirt makes them look dark gray.

His favorite things to do each day is to walk around with his toys and goof off with me when I am sitting on the floor. He really likes to flop down on top of you like a wrestler would pin you down. It is pretty funny. He has also started hitting things, he mainly does it when he is getting tired, and if you are holding him, it hurts. But he doesn't fully understand "No" yet.

Steve and I will take some photos tonight and hopefully we will post them sometime in the next week.
